April 1-15th: Obedience lessons and field trips
March 15-April 1st: Group obedience lessons with goats, cats and other dog distractions . Going on field trips to Home Depot, Lowes and tractor supply
March 1-15: Field trips and more field trips. We are also working on group obedience lessons
February 1-15th: Tractor Supply loves us for sure. We are working on sit lessons and obedience at tractor supply store and the pups get the pick out their own treats and toys. On warmer days, we continue our group walks and adventures in the woods.
January 16-February 1st: Field trips and more field trips. We are working on traveling in cars ( crate and uncrated), visiting stores and exploring pet friendly stores.
December 30 - January 15th: Continuing to work on our formal obedience lessons. The pups are working on sitting lessons, recalling from a sit, place lessons, and sit/stays with distractions.
December 15-30th: Wrapping up our head start puppy program with an intro to leash work, continuing to sit lessons, and crate training. We will start to work on formal obedience lessons in January. *As your dog progresses in training, please make an appointment to visit. While here, you can train with your pup and older dogs and take your dog for a weekend vacation.
December 7-15th: We are working on sit lessons and crate lessons. During poor weather days, we will be working on home ettiequte. On warmer days ( above 20 degrees) we will go outside for adventures.
Dec.6, 2022, Christmas update: If your pup will be with us during the holidays, and you would like to send him/her Christmas gifts, you are welcome to. Any type of toy ( even plushy ones are ok, we will supervise ), antlers, kings, blankets, puzzle toys, etc., are great choices. Your pup is also an equal opportunity treat eater: biscuits, cookies, and pupperonis are all excellent choices; there is no wrong answer here.
*Please note that these will be given to your dog; it will be used, so the likely hood of it still being around at pick up will be rare. Please put your dog's name and your last name on the packaging ie " Todd Sundean, 8282 Crane Road, Cranesville Pa 16410" will let me know who the gifts are for.
Nov 26. 2022: This week, the pups enjoyed playing in the training center. We worked on stairs, exposure to tarps, and going through tunnels for treats. We are continuing to work on sit lessons and crate lessons.
Nov 19, 2022: Welcome to your pup's training journal. This week the pups are working on sit lessons and crate lessons. When the weather is nasty, they play inside the reception room or training area. On warmer days, we will be going for hikes in the snow.
