August 15-30th: Review for opening day of preserve season on Sept. 1st. Please keep a minimum of five birds in your dogs bird bank .
August 1-15th: Singles, Double and intro to Triple marks, Stopping and casting to different marks and blinds.
July 15-July 28th: Concept marks, intro to handling, concept marks in creeks and rivers,
July 1-July 15th: Working on concept marks, delivery to hand in and out of the water and at different preserves
June 15-30th: Concept marks, bird and field trips to work at local preserves.
June 1-15th: Review of skillsets : Here, Heel, Sit, Hold and FF. Denials for stability and concept marks
May 15-30th: concept marks off of launchers, into water and on land. Working with gunfire and birds.
May 1-15th: Intro to handling to change things up from marks, delivery to hand out of water at Willow Preserve ( here) and Conneaut Creek Outfitters
April 15th- May 1st: Concept marks , concept marks and more concept marks. We are working at different locations using gunfire, birds and bumpers
April 1-15th: Concept marks off the launcher with gunfire, birds and gunfire , delivery to hand on land. As soon as we get some warmer days we can move on to water as well
March 15th April 1st: Finally have snow free training fields. We are working on concept marks with gunfire

February 16-30th: Back to winter, we are working as much as we can to build in the training center
February 1-16th: Decent weather is finally in our future. We will be working on concept marks in the field and BIRDS! I don't know about you, but I'm really excited to be getting to this point 🙂
January 16th-30th: Reviewing obedience, hold , ff with into to handling, group walks to blow of steam
January 1-15th: intro to handing and concept marks in the training center. Reviewing obedience / hold and doing so while going over obstacles. Doing concept marks outside when able
December 30,2022: Reviewing hold, working on off leash obedience , and intro to concept marks inside the training center
December 1-15th hold lessons over obedience and obstacles, working on into to handling on the table ( back, left and right)
Nov 26, 2022: We have nearly completed our hold lessons, and will work on building an e collar block for off leash recall next. Once completed we will begin working on concept marks!
October 1-15, 2022: Hold lessons, continuing on the table. We will continue to work on hold for a little bit. Now that we have the basics down, we will switch from a light bumper to heavy weighted and clothe bumpers, dokans and frozen then chilled birds, as this block is all about " the mouth". Once we are satisfied with holding various objects and are happy to do it, we move back to the ground .
September 18,2022: Hold lessons with ob. lessons. This week we are continuing to work on hold. Once we can " hold" on to the bumper in a sitting position, then we will pactice going back in forth across the table.
September 4,2022 :This week, we are working on hold. This block is an important part of " delivery to hand". Once we have " hold" , then we will add it to our obedience string of " here, heel and sit" tom complete a formal delivery to hand.
The preserves are now open. If you would like to purchase pheasants for your dog to hunt over, please do so in the additional services area of the journal. A recommended minimum is 10 birds.
August 22,2022: This week we are working on obedience lessons, movement lessons and an introduction to hold
August 19, 2022: Your dog is working on the mechanics of here, heel, and sit. We are working on introducing hold-on-the-table with sit and stay lessons.
We are wrapping up obedience lesson, adventure walks, exposure to gunfire and birds. Now moving on to more formal work of hold and delivery to hand.
May 20, 2022: Intro to obedience lessons, intro to table lessons, adventure walks in the woods and fun bumpers
April 17, 2022: fun bumpers, leash drags for intro to obedience and off leash recall walks in the woods
