SAR Training Program:
Our Started Search & Rescue program at Sundance Retrievers focuses on developing young dogs that are ready to work alongside you.
We nurture their drive, dependability, and stamina, enabling them to excel in rough terrain while remaining entirely focused on their tasks.
Started Search and Rescue program:
A Sporting or Classic Dog that completes this program will be:
* Confident, focused and have high toy drive
* Have their formal obedience ( here, heel, sit) and off leash recall
* Introduced to handling / moving to different platforms
* Exposed to a variety of search areas, uneven services, rubble and heights
* Exposed to a lift and carry harness
* Used to working around a variety of animals including horses, goats, chickens and other dogs.
Our aim is to produce bold, toy-driven young dogs. Upon completing this program, these candidates are fully prepared to continue their work in live find, cadaver, or drug detection tasks.
